Ottawa, Ontario — RGK Wheelchairs, Inc., has officially been renamed 49 Bespoke Inc. This has takenplace as a result of growth in the scope of the legal entity originally formed to bring RGK Wheelchairs toNorth America. After a decade of marketing and promoting RGK Wheelchairs and strengtheningrelationships with Varilite®, Ki Mobility, Kenda, and other manufacturers, Russel Simms and Greg Edenhave sold their shares in the company to Reg McClellan. Although the logos for those companies havealways been front row and center, it has been a goal to come up with a generic name for the importer ofthese fine products.

“We chose to use the numbers 4 and 9 with the English term for custom made (Bespoke) and to add the legal incorporated requirement,” said Reg McClellan, President/CEO. The significance of the 4 and 9relate to Reg McClellan’s privilege to have worn the number 4 for over 20 years on the men’s nationalwheelchair basketball team and an honor that his partner shares having wore the number 9 on thewomen’s national team for 20 plus years. “It goes without saying that we share a commitment to do whatwe can to further the growth and development of that sport along with all sport and active living for peoplewith a disability,” said Chantal Benoit, Office Manager.

Formerly known as RGK Wheelchairs, Inc., (founded in 2002), 49 Bespoke Inc., became a reality inSeptember 2009 as a result of a share purchase agreement between Reg McClellan (current owner) andprevious partners Russel Simms and Greg Eden who own RGK Wheelchairs, Ltd., in the United Kingdom.49 Bespoke Inc., owns the distribution and manufacturing rights to RGK Wheelchairs in North Americaand distributes Varilite ®, Ki Mobility, and Kenda products in Canada along with other ultra light merchandise from manufacturers supplying the home health care industry.
